A Soft Drink a Day...

Japan's $48 billion-a-year soft drink industry is looking to older consumers as the country's population grays. That means fewer sugary sodas and more drinks that offer health benefits. Suntory's Kuro Oolong tea, which is believed to help reduce fat levels, sold 148 million bottles in its first year. Other big sellers claim to resist the effects of skin aging, ward off constipation, and fight the common cold.
